I am Edwin Lewis, the younger brother of rugby league legend Wally Lewis. I once had a promising football career of my own — so promising that even my parents believed I had the potential to surpass my famous brother. But after a devastating car accident left me in a coma for nine days, my path in life changed forever. Though I was unable to return to football at the same level, the experience brought me closer to God and revealed a greater purpose: sharing the message of Jesus Christ and the hope of eternal life.

Even so, I never allowed my dreams to be extinguished. I went on to find success as a Coach, Manager, and Referee in rugby league — proving that when God closes one door, He opens another. The game I loved shaped me, but it was faith that defined me.

In this ‘Life,’ I’ve learned that we have to be prepared to lose everything to gain everything. Since Christmas Day 1979, I’ve been searching for answers and, by God’s grace, I have found them. For over 46 years, I’ve listened, documented, and acknowledged things that have not yet been fully understood or implemented. I am not ashamed of my faith. Not only do you read, listen, and view the ‘Truth,’ but you are also witnessing what is happening and what will happen.

On the 16th of March 2001, I met Jesus in person. It was not a dream, not a vision — it was a real, personal encounter with the Lord Himself. That meeting changed everything and confirmed what I had long sensed: that God had a specific and extraordinary assignment for my life. But telling the truth has come at a cost. From the moment I began sharing what happened that day, I have faced discrimination — mocked, dismissed, and marginalised by people who could not or would not believe. That rejection has followed me my whole life. I carry it without bitterness, because I know what I saw, and I know Who I met.

Through that encounter and through years of seeking, listening, and documenting what the Spirit has revealed, I have come to understand — and I say this humbly but plainly — that I play a major part in the Rapture, the Caught-Up, and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I do not say this to exalt myself, but because God does not hide His plans from those He has appointed. "Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets." — Amos 3:7

As I close this testimony, I want to share something that has stayed with me. Not long ago, in the most ordinary of places — a simple fruit shop — I met someone. A chance encounter, or so it seemed. But there is a reason for everything. Their name was that of the 13th Apostle — the apostle appointed after the original twelve, whose place is recorded in Scripture. I recognised it immediately. I will not reveal who they are. But if you know, you know. God does not arrange meetings by accident. To that person: you know who you are, and so does He.

Jesus is the Highway to Heaven

Jesus is the Highway to Heaven is a book for every person who has ever felt lost, afraid, or far from God. Through heartfelt testimony, scriptural truth, and personal reflection, Edwin Lewis shares the message that Jesus Christ is not merely a path — He is the path. No matter where life has taken you, no matter what you have been through, the highway home is open.

This ministry exists to point people to Jesus — to offer hope in hardship, clarity in confusion, and the assurance that God's love reaches further than any failure or fear. Whether you are a lifelong believer or simply searching, you are welcome here. Read, reflect, and walk this journey of faith at your own pace. God has a plan for you, and it begins with a single step toward Him.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
— Jeremiah 29:11
