The Passover, the Blood, and Eternal Life

In Scripture, the Passover begins with God delivering His people from slavery in Egypt. A spotless lamb was sacrificed, and its blood marked the doors of the faithful so judgment would pass over them. It was a sign that deliverance belonged to God, and that His people were not owned by Pharaoh, fear, or the powers of this world.

Christians understand this as pointing to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, whose shed blood brings salvation, forgiveness, and freedom. This is why the blood of Jesus Christ, the cross, Communion, and the Lord's Supper belong together: they all remember the same truth. Eternal life comes through Jesus Christ.

The documents and materials below are presented in that light: as part of Edwin Lewis's testimony concerning God's roadmap to eternal life, the blood of Jesus Christ, repentance, and the call for people to return to God's will.
